Betina Sachsse b.sachsse@lateinamerikaverein.de One of the interests the group of the LAV-Young Professionals mentioned as a reason to be in this international group is the change in perspective, i.e., the possibility to see things, challenges and chances in a different light and framing. Because of the international private or business experience in different countries it is refreshing to be able to see everyday tasks from different points of view. For sure this is probably an interesting input that can drive innovation and contribute to problemsolving. Who are the LAV-Young Professionals? As part of the LAV, there is the group of the LAV-Young Professionals. It com- prises mainly younger employees of our member companies that work with or in Latin America or have personal experience or interest in the region. At present the group has more than 300 registered members and one should not be older than 40 to be admitted in the group. As the group lives from personal contacts during the regular networking sessions and events, the pandemic period of 2020 and 2021 was characterized by online meetings and webchats with Ambassadors such as the German Ambassador in Brazil or the Colombian Ambassador in Germany. Events of the LAV-Young Professionals not only inform on business-related issues in Latin America, but primarily also serve as a platform for personal exchanges and the establishment and expansion of business contacts in extraordinary settings. These include company visits and tours of member companies in a relaxed atmosphere. In addition to our local network, there is also the support by our LAVYoung Professionals representatives in Latin America when you wish to become active in the region. Amentoring program was also developed but did not restart after the pandemic yet. Alongside to Kris Dahlinger, the LAV-Young Professionals Speaker, there exists the advisory board from the LAV-Young Professionals for the executive director of the LAV. These structures are meant to be an updated exchange among the LAV and its members. After such a long pandemic the project “Reboot LAV-Young Professionals 2022” was started in May’22 in order to reactivate the dynamics of the group. There was already a Summer Barbecue on the terrace of the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce, a Meet&Greet with LAV-Chairman of the Board Mr. Darboven, two Meet&Greet with guests from São Paulo in Frankfurt and Stuttgart and there are more gatherings to come. An online enquiry at the beginning of this year gave feedback on subjects the LAV-Young Professionals are most interested in, so that content and settings for meetings can be developed always based on actual interest and business. Membership in the LAV-Young Professionals network is free of charge for the employees of LAV-member companies. Start with us and let’s go LATAM! Einer der von den LAV-Young Professionals genannten Gründe, sich in dieser internationalen Gruppe zu engagieren, ist der Perspektivwechsel, d.h. die Möglichkeit, Dinge, HerausforderungenundChancen in einemanderen Licht und Rahmen zu sehen. Sie alle haben ein besonderes Interesse an Lateinamerika und der Karibik, sowohl im beruflichen als auch im privaten Kontext. Sie sind in das Netzwerk des Lateinamerika Vereins eingebunden und können das gesamte Angebot nutzen, um Kontakte zu knüpfen und sich im Umfeld der vom Verein repräsentierten Institutionen, Unternehmen und Einrichtungen zu orientieren. Die regelmäßigen Treffen und Veranstaltungen informieren nicht nur über politische, gesellschaftliche, kulturelle und wirt- schaftsnahe Themen zu Lateinamerika, sondern dienen in erster Linie als Plattform für den persönlichen Austausch und dem Auf- und Ausbau von Kontakten in einem außergewöhnlichen Rahmen. Die Mitgliedschaft im Netzwerk der LAVYoung Professionals ist für Mitarbeiter der Mitgliedsunternehmen kostenlos.
