Join the Embassy of Brazil in Berlin from June 2 to 13 for a series of impactful events on the world's largest rainforest.

This year, the Amazon Week will hold heightened significance as it leads up to the UN Climate Change Conference (COP30), set to take place in the Amazonian city of Belém, in November 2025.

On June 3, a research-focused event in partnership with the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) Brazil and the Göthe Institute will examine the intersections between Archaeology, Indigenous knowledgesystems, and the Amazon rainforest.

In partnership with ApexBrasil and the Institute for Climate and Society (iCS), the events on June 4 and 5 will delve into the vital role of Green Finance and Bioeconomy in advancing sustainable development in the Amazon, highlighting innovative financial instruments and showcasing successful initiatives.

Advances in Forest Monitoring will be the topic of another key event on June 12, co-organized with the Brazilian National Institute for Space Research (INPE) and the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA).

The events will bring together technical experts, entrepreneurs, investors, nonprofit leaders, and authorities, offering a platform for collaboration and fostering of the Amazon.

During the whole month of June, the exhibition "A Terra é o Útero do Tempo" ("The Earth is the Womb of Time"), part of the "Cosmopercepções da Floresta" project, will feature works by Indigenous women’s collectives alongside photographic documentation of performances staged in Brazilian and German archaeological archives.
