Free Webinar from Americas Market Intelligence (AMI): December 8, 2021 | 12:30 PM EST

With 25 billion barrels of estimated oil, Guyana and Suriname could generate close to US$400 billion in government income in the next few decades.
But with the world moving toward net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, investor attitudes towards these markets are shifting.

AMI will explore this and other strategic questions in this webinar with a panel of experts that will include oil industry executives, as well as the Guyanese government, moderated by Arthur Deakin, co-director of AMI’s energy market research practice.

Among the topics we’ll cover:

  • How to capitalize on Guyana and Suriname’s 25+ billion barrels of estimated crude
  • Which country will do best in a low-carbon world?
  • How can energy companies best navigate local politics and regulation?
  • What will happen to the local content-law being discussed in Guyana?
  • What will happen to the country’s future Production Sharing Agreements?

The EU Delegation to Guyana in collaboration with the Guyana Office for Investment [GOINVEST] and the Caribbean Export Development Agency [CEDA] will host an, ‘’Invest in Guyana Virtual Forum’’
March 23, 2021 from 09:00-11:00hrs (AST), 14:00 - 16:00hrs (CET).

The virtual forum which will be on the Zoom platform is aimed at attracting European investors into Guyana in the areas of hotel and resort development, mining and oil and gas, agriculture and forestry and logistics and infrastructure.  Registration and the agenda for the event can be found at the following link.

The European Union Ambassador to Guyana, H.E Fernando Ponz Cantó and Guyana’s President, H.E Irfaan Ali, will open the conference and welcome participants. As can be seen from the agenda there will be specific breakout sessions for investors who are interested in a particular area of potential investment. Attached for further information is a detailed catalogue which gives specific insights into the investment opportunities that are now available in Guyana.

While CEDA has already embarked on a publicity campaign to attract registrants it would be most helpful if this information could be shared with as many business contacts as possible in order to attract the widest range of registrants for a successful forum. On the registration page you will also find a detailed catalogue (available by Monday, March 15), showcasing the investment sectors in Guyana coupled with messages from Ambassador Ponz Cantó and President Ali.

Additionally please find the promotional links for this event on Facebook,Twitter and Website.
