The São Paulo Innovation Week (SPIW) 2026 event, supported by the Innovation Diplomacy Program of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil, will be held in São Paulo from May 13th to 15th. In its latest edition, it brought together more than 205,000 participants, including representatives from government, academia, investors, large corporations, startups, and the media.
The event's target audience includes government leaders, business executives, scientists, academics, large global companies, as well as startups and international innovation ecosystems. The program will cover areas such as artificial intelligence, robotics, advanced automation, deep tech, applied science, smart cities, financial markets, agribusiness, and other emerging technologies, with a strong emphasis on applied innovation and globally relevant solutions.
In this regard, the event organizers will hold a webinar on February 23rd at 11:00 AM BRT (or 3:00 PM CET) with hubs, innovation environments, and foreign agencies for attracting investment and promoting internationalization, to present the proposal for creating an "Innovation Diplomacy Space" at the fair.
The "Innovation Diplomacy Space" will feature 20 free booths intended for foreign representatives (innovation hubs/environments and investment attraction and internationalization promotion agencies).
More details will be presented during the webinar. The virtual meeting room can be accessed via the this link.
INNOVATION AND PROTOTYPE SUPPORT POLICY
SPIW 2026 will also provide opportunities for participation by foreign startups and innovation companies, according to the regulations attached to this mail.
The selection will prioritize startups and innovation companies with demonstrable prototypes or solutions – physical or digital – capable of offering the public a concrete, interactive experience with high visual and sensory impact, allowing them to "make the future visible, tangible, and testable".
Applications that clearly describe how visitors can see, test, and interact with the innovation at the booth will be especially valued, demonstrating adequate maturity and technical/logistical feasibility, as well as alignment with the thematic axes of São Paulo Innovation Week 2026.
Interested companies can register via the link provided in this document.
The deadline for submitting applications is March 6, 2026.
